Gloucestershire Nightstop is a local charity that provides emergency, night-by-night accommodation in volunteer hosts' homes for young people aged 16 to 25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness
New initiative by charity Gloucestershire Nightstop designed to offer young workers and apprentices low-cost housing tenancies to help them avoid the "benefit trap"
The scheme explicitly aims to challenge the systemic cycle where young workers are penalised for earning. By capping rent to a completely manageable, flat weekly rate, it ensures that working more hours results in keeping more money rather than losing essential housing support.
Creative Sustainability's aim is to create inclusive, resilient communities that can support mental, emotional and physical health and wellbeing for everyone.
